Benjamin Levy
Research Assistant
BACKGROUND
I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. I received a B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, where I participated in Design/Build/Fly. I also advanced the team's conceptual design capabilities with undergraduate research in low-fidelity aircraft design optimization. I am fascinated by aviation and thoroughly enjoy plane spotting at Logan airport. I am also an avid skier and fisherman, depending on the season.
RESEARCH
I am currently pursuing my S.M. degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics in the Gas Turbine Laboratory. My research is focused on the performance assessment of transonic fan installations at off-design conditions, especially in inlet distortion. My research interests include aerodynamics, aircraft design, and air-breathing propulsion.
